Working with editorial director John Weich (ArtReview, 34 and Wallpaper*) Shooting the Breeze art directed and designed this 152 page magazine for Gas Jeans centered around the theme of Ethnicity and Exploration. The magazine was a similar format to a soft back travel guide and contained features on modern day explorers and essays on notions of Ethnicity. Each chapter was prefaced with a pattern which concealed typographic headers inspired by the security techniques employed in modern passport design. 150,000 copies were printed and distributed through Gas stores worldwide.
